Looking for an idea for a weekend break with your best friends or with your love of your life ? Where you can reload and enjoy, good food, go for Arab baths, a little shopping and lots of cultural inspiration or just sit quiet and watch people…
Hippi Grace loves to explore when travelling and the weekend spent in Malaga has memories for life. We hope you get inspired to try out something new next time you travel.
Before travelling we find a great inspiration both on Pinterest and just surfing/googling. This time we found a lovely hotel right in the city center – close to the new Malaga Port area – Hotel Molina Lario. It has a great roof top with swimming pool, sunbeds and a fabulous view of Malaga. When staying in a hotel it is so nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sun and not only stay indoors.

Another Hippi Grace treat when travelling is always to go for a haircut. Spain is the country where the score is close to 10/10 every time – it is a true smart luxury experience. Just across the hotel, a lovely hairdresser made us feel just great.
A highly recommended hairdresser just across the hotel – Frank Pelugueria
For the first time we experienced a water journey at the Andalucian Arab baths – Hammam. You need to book in advance and you can get different types of baths including massage. It is a lovely atmosphere and you feel totally relaxed as you wander between the different types of baths with different temperatures, from hot to cold. Will for sure go back next time in Malaga. We booked through their web adresse, and got the entry ticket on mail. It was JUST BEAUTIFUL !!!

When we search for the best tapas restaurants through google, one usually get the popular ones, but it is hard to discover the new and special places. The travel tips is always to ask locals. We did, Mr Jose, a young man, working at the hotel made us a list. On top was the artistic tapas restaurant in the Soho area – just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. WOW – the place where of course fully booked. We turned up 5 minutes before opening time, which is 8 oćlock, with the greetings from Mr Jose and our suggestion to finish before 10 – we got a table. A memory for life! Publishing a little video from this fantastic restaurant, the minute we sat down, on insta stories, and of course, tagging their name – we could hear the chefs in the kitchen talk about Hippi Grace with an Spanish accent – that was wonderful too!

A great area to walk both day and night is the seaside of port Malaga. We did also have some great fun in the evening and during the day it is a perfect spot to train your ability to ‘drive’ the E-Wheels. You just need to download the app, scan and you are ready to go.
